Vision, Hearing, Reach: Where to Start? Assessing Access for Complex Communicators

Timeframe: 2 hours

There are many innovative and tried-and-true solutions for accessing language for individuals with complex communication needs. As many solutions as there are; there are even more compounding factors that complicate the use of these methods.  This presentation draws on the interdisciplinary knowledge of best-practice, research and first-hand observation of an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist with practice experience in the clinic and in the classroom.
