Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Evaluations: AAC evaluations are available for students with complex communication needs. This service includes a review of medical and educational records, formal evaluation with low to high tech device trials, a written report for education and therapeutic planning purposes, and evaluator participation in a team meeting. Evaluations can be used to provide initial AAC recommendations or to help explore alternative solutions for current communication systems.
Augmentative Communication (AAC) Consultation: AAC consultative services can be used to target a specific student or an entire classroom. Consultation is provided to educators or family members and is focused on specific questions and goals. This service may include a review of communication systems currently in place, informal exploration of alternative communication solutions, or device-specific training and troubleshooting.

Assistive technology device loans and reuse activities are being supplemented by the ATinNH program. Funding for assistive technology device demonstrations, loans, and reuse is provided, in part, under grant 2001NHATSG02 from the Administration for Community Living (ACL) through Assistive Technology in New Hampshire (ATinNH).
