Our augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) team is made up of six knowledgeable and collaborative assistive technology professionals with backgrounds in speech-language pathology. Each therapist has an M.S., is certified as clinically competent by the American Speech–Language–Hearing Association (ASHA), and is an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).
This team has diverse backgrounds and interests, with specialized training in neurodiversity, hearing loss, feeding and swallowing, cortical visual impairment, emergent literacy, alternative access methods, and multiple complex disabilities.
